Jesse Lambert grew up in rural New Hampshire and New York City. He received a BFA from Cooper Union, a MFA in Painting from Hunter College, and attended the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture.

Jesse has exhibited his work at Pace University Gallery, NYC; Front Room Gallery, NYC; Teckningsmuseet, Laholm, Sweden; Ningyo Editions, Watertown, MA; White Columns, NYC; Joseloff Gallery, Hartford, CT; Matter Gallery, Portland, ME; Klaus Von Nichtssagend Gallery, NYC; Miller Block Gallery, Boston, MA and other venues.

Jesse has published his comics on Hyperallergic and contributed to the nonfiction comics anthologies Rescue Party: A Graphic Anthology of COVID Lockdown, published by Knopf Doubleday, American Cult, published by Paper Rocket Comics/Silver Sprocket, COVID Chronicles, published by Graphic Mundi, and Clayton: Godfather of the Lower East Side – A Documentary, published by Permuted Press. He has exhibited his comics at the independent comics festivals MoCCA, SPX, The Nonfiction Comics Festival, MICE, the Queens Zine Fest, The Brooklyn Independent Comics Showcase, PictoBeach Bazaar, and the Jersey Art Book Fair.

He received a Queens Art Fund New Work Grant in 2024, a Queens Council on the Arts Grant and a NYFA City Artists Corps Grant in 2021. In 2020, he was a finalist for the Creative Capital Awards.

He lives in Jackson Heights, Queens, NY, and has a studio in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn.
